Very Productive Saturday

Our take

What a cluck-tastic Saturday it was! We dove into the construction of a brand-new chicken run from 8 AM to 8 PM, and let me tell you, it felt like a never-ending adventure—especially with just two of us tackling this project! Measuring 12x9 feet and soaring about 7 feet high at its peak, it might seem like overkill, but it definitely outshines our old run (check out the last picture for a comparison!). While we're not quite done yet—still need to finish the hardware cloth at the wall and roof junction, add a tin roof, and install a door—I’m looking for suggestions on fun things to put inside. I’m considering a spiral perch “staircase” for my feathered friends to climb on.

Worked from 8-8 yesterday getting this new chicken run made! Felt like forever but there was only two of us doing it.

Its 12x9, and about 7 feet at the highest point. Might be overkill but it looks so much better than the other run we had. (Last picture)

Still not totally finished, need to finish the hardware cloth where the wall meets the roof, add the tin roof, put up the door and a couple other finishing touches.

Anyone have any suggestions as to things I can put inside. I was thinking of maybe building them a spiral perch "staircase" so they have something to climb on. Let me know what works with your birds!
