Walmart chicken

Our take

Picture this: MyLove and I were at Walmart picking up some meds when she casually mentioned “that chicken.” Of course, I had no idea what she was talking about, but curiosity led us to the next turn. To our surprise, there was indeed a chicken darting around the parking lot near some bushes! After an amusing (and slightly chaotic) wrangling attempt that left me crawling on my knees, we finally managed to confine the feathery runaway. Fast forward to our home, where she’s now in quarantine, separate from our flock. Interestingly, the bottoms of her feet are almost neon yellow! If you have any ideas about this quirky chicken’s identity, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for your help!

MyLove and I were at Walmart picking up meds. As we were leaving she asked me about “that chicken”, one I didn’t see. We drove to the next turn in and, lo and behold, a chicken running around in the parking lot near some bushes. After spending too much time trying to wrangle it we confined it mostly to the bushes. Imagine a large old bald man on his knees crawling around in the bushes, surprised the police didn’t show up!

Caught, photographed and brought home. She is currently in quarantine, segregated from the rest of our flock. The bottoms of her feet are almost neon yellow. What is she?

Thanks for any help you can provide!
