My chicken is making this weird noise
Our take

| For context My Chicken has been sick for the past two days. I’ve posted about it so if you want more detail, just go to my page. The baseline of it is she has low energy. She showed signs of some mucus which shut her eye and some thick yellow mucus coming out of her nose, but now it’s better and her eyes is open and there’s no more mucus. She is also shown trouble breathing but also doesn’t have any more. Her comb has gotten a little bit lighter and I don’t know what they’re called but if you see the bottom left red things they are also getting lighter. I have given updates but this is just something that I couldn’t put in a comment so im putting it in a post instead. If anyone knows what this is then it would be great if anyone had an advice and for people who I have already told about this Here is some video evidence of what it sounds like. As always, thank you to anyone who has already given advice or to anyone who has any advice to give!! [link] [comments] |

- Forth update on my sick chicken; she’s better but I’m getting worriedWhat is happening to her? For some context, I let her outside and she was outside for around an hour and a half. I’ve just brought her back in and I’ve fed her some water with some nutrients in it. She’s been doing this all day and I’m not sure what is happening. Hopefully it’s the same as the gargle noise and it’s nothing bad, but I’m just a bit worried. submitted by /u/Shot-Location-4283 [link] [comments]
- Update on sick chickenSo a couple days ago I made a post about my chicken being possibly sick but I wasn’t sure. So far she’s still alive and she’s pretty alert. She eats mushes poultry feed and drinks water, but she can’t walk. She also has a tough time trying to balance, like I notice we have to put her in a certain position for her to stay upright. When she tries to adjust herself, she uses her beak to kind of drag herself, if that makes sense? She still goes to the bathroom but she’s always sleepy. I don’t know why she can’t walk yet, I felt her legs and they are still warm. When we try to get her to walk she just cries and tips foward. It breaks my heart seeing her like this. Can somebody please help me find out what’s wrong with her? I’m trying to help her the best I can but I’m not sure how else to help her. My parents don’t know either and they kind of gave up on her but I haven’t. Please help! Ask me any questions and I’ll answer to the best of my ability. submitted by /u/Frosty-Drive3282 [link] [comments]
- What’s wrong with my chicken?Several of my other chickens died of what I believe is Newcastle Disease. When this gal got lethargic, I figured it was that again. However, she has some strange symptoms that are different than the others. Her backside is swollen and red/yellow, and she is standing in the strangest positions. Y’all please let me know if you have ever seen this before or if it looks like Newcastle to you. She has had green diarrhea as well. Also she’s all wet because of my never ending battle with mites. Infinite chicken baths and weekly coop cleaning has been my life for about a year now. submitted by /u/xix3655 [link] [comments]
- 2nd update on my sick chicken (advice always appreciated)I have taken all your advice (given her scrambled eggs, garlic and apple cider vinegar solution in water, salt water, hot water bottle in a pet carrier at night, preventing drafts) and also many more. She has more energy but is still moving slowly and has the need to sleep often. I am trying to get as much food and water down her as possible, her poo is more solid. I’m not sure if it’s just me but does her comb look a little lighter than before too? Another question but should she be laying eggs (she isn’t)? Ok actually last question, how long should I quarantine her before letting her mix with the other chickens (we have 10 in total)? I know nobody asked for this update but here it is if anyone wants to know. As I always say, advice is greatly appreciated and thanks to anyone who has already given advice or words of encouragement!!! submitted by /u/Shot-Location-4283 [link] [comments]
