Forth update on my sick chicken; she’s better but I’m getting worried
Our take
In today’s cluck-tastic update, I’m checking in on my feathered friend who’s on the mend but still raising some concerns. After letting her enjoy the great outdoors for about an hour and a half, I’ve brought her back inside, and she’s been sipping on water enriched with nutrients. While she’s been sounding a bit like a tiny, gargling troublemaker, I’m holding onto hope that it’s just a quirky phase, similar to her previous antics. However, my worry is starting to flutter around like a chicken on the loose. What’s truly going on with her? Is it just a passing phase, or should I be more concerned? Join me as I navigate these egg-citing yet nerve-wracking moments with my beloved chicken!

| What is happening to her? For some context, I let her outside and she was outside for around an hour and a half. I’ve just brought her back in and I’ve fed her some water with some nutrients in it. She’s been doing this all day and I’m not sure what is happening. Hopefully it’s the same as the gargle noise and it’s nothing bad, but I’m just a bit worried. [link] [comments] |

- Update: Chicken still sick, can’t walk or stand. She can perchMy poor Pickles went to the vet, laid an egg, (I thought she was egg bound), she’s been getting around the clock care in quarantine, but she still can’t walk, she can perch on a dowel, but that’s it. She is eating at least one scrambled egg a day, not really drinking but if I string water over her beak she drinks. Her poops looked normal this morning, yesterday they were mixed, some normal, some watery. It’s been 6 days of this. WTH?? This is her little set up. Any ideas? submitted by /u/LemonyFresh108 [link] [comments]

- Update on sick chickenSo a couple days ago I made a post about my chicken being possibly sick but I wasn’t sure. So far she’s still alive and she’s pretty alert. She eats mushes poultry feed and drinks water, but she can’t walk. She also has a tough time trying to balance, like I notice we have to put her in a certain position for her to stay upright. When she tries to adjust herself, she uses her beak to kind of drag herself, if that makes sense? She still goes to the bathroom but she’s always sleepy. I don’t know why she can’t walk yet, I felt her legs and they are still warm. When we try to get her to walk she just cries and tips foward. It breaks my heart seeing her like this. Can somebody please help me find out what’s wrong with her? I’m trying to help her the best I can but I’m not sure how else to help her. My parents don’t know either and they kind of gave up on her but I haven’t. Please help! Ask me any questions and I’ll answer to the best of my ability. submitted by /u/Frosty-Drive3282 [link] [comments]
- Sick chicken help! What’s wrong with her? Her poop is very watered down she’s a little lethargic but she’s still walking about but she isn’t running to me like she usually does she’s still eating and drinking but she’s drinking a lot more water i didn’t notice any symptoms until a day ago. I also noticed her feet have scabs on them but it doesn’t seem like bumble foot and it’s only on her back toes I also checked her duct and it has poop on the feathers around it but her duct itself looks fine no redness or swelling she is an older chicken pushing 4 years old submitted by /u/relentlessfag [link] [comments]
