Finally built my own coop
Our take
After a year of snugly fitting my feathered friends into a small Amazon coop, I finally took the plunge and built my very own chicken palace! Using salvaged boards from a nearby demolition site, I managed to create a coop that not only looks fantastic but also cost around €300. The kids are thrilled to climb inside, turning it into their own little adventure zone. Standing at a hip-friendly 78cm for easy care and cleaning, this coop boasts dimensions of 1.8 x 1.3 meters, with a height of 2.2 meters. My gals now have the perfect space to strut their stuff and enjoy life to the fullest. Can't wait to see how they take to their new digs!

- Backyard build almost doneRemodeled my garage and was going to use old cabinets to build a coop. Wife wanted something nicer (I swear it would’ve been good) ended up with this. No plans, just made a sketch and went for it. My dad kept chickens/turkeys so I wasn’t totally green. Happy with how it turned out. I’m a white collar guy so I’m pretty proud of this build. Not really finished, going to lay pavers and stones around it, but it’s done for now. 6 week old chicks finally out of the garage and loving it. Doors warping a little but I’ll take care of it submitted by /u/ravosa [link] [comments]
