| I recently had to bring my chickens to another place for temporary care for about a 1.5 weeks and when I brought them back, I noticed my rooster had more black specks on his comb and waddle. I tried to do some research online and think this could be fowl pox? Does anyone have suggestions on what this could be and how I can fix it? He has a bigger black speck on the inside of his waddle that was difficult to take a pic of. Aside from him looking different from his usual self, he’s eating normally and the hens in his flock don’t have any of the black specks on their combs. Thanks for any advice! [link] [comments] |

- Black Scabs on RoostersMy roosters have developed these black scabs on their faces, combs, and waddles. I have a flock of 18 with 3 roosters. It appears to be on the roosters only. - Fowl pox??this started out as a couple small black scab areas on the comb, then sudden and total blindness. He showed no other symptoms, I’ve had him separate so I can care for him since he can’t see, and now this. So, fowl pox? submitted by /u/Upper_Importance6263 [link] [comments]
