New Chickens

Our take

Cluck-tastic news! My wife recently discovered a charming Silkie rooster and his two Silkie cross hens in need of a new home. They’re currently hanging out in our previous coop under quarantine, taking a well-deserved break from their past adventures. This handsome rooster has a bit of comb damage—rumor has it, he had a run-in with an Orpington rooster, but he looks relatively clean and dry. We’re giving them a day to chill before we conduct a closer inspection. The excitement doesn’t stop there! Once they’re settled and feeling comfy, we’ll see if these feathered friends can join our existing flock. Stay tuned for updates on this egg-citing new chapter in our chicken saga!

My wife found this Silkie rooster and his two Siilkie cross hens looking for a new home online. They are currently under quarantine in our flocks previous coop. The rooster has some comb damage allegedly from an Orpington rooster he was living with. Looks relatively clean and dry so we will let them chill for a day or so then inspect closer. Eventually we will see if we can integrate them into the rest of the flock.
