I got a free chicken

Our take

I recently welcomed a delightful addition to my flock—a Buff Orpington rooster! Rescued from a fate of becoming dinner, this charming fellow caught my eye when the previous owners decided they didn’t want him. After some suspenseful moments of him hiding his true identity, he finally revealed himself as a rooster, and I couldn't resist the chance to take him home. He’s perfect for breeding with my Buff Orpington hens, saving me from future poultry purchases. As he’s currently in his goofy phase, I’m on the hunt for a name that strikes a regal, medieval tone while playfully suggesting he’s as wise as a chicken can be. Any feathered friends enthusiasts out there with name suggestions?

This is a buff orpington rooster, he is from last year around july, the people I got him from did not want him and it took him a little while to actually show that he was really a rooster.

they were going to cook him but I asked them if I could take him instead, I was wanting a buff orpington rooster anyway to breed to my buff orpington hens, mainly just so I don't have to purchase them again next year.

I rotate most of my birds out every 3 years, excluding roosters and ones that are Just Pets or really good Mamas, so this dude needs a name!, I kind of want something that sounds Regal and a little bit medieval.

he's kind of going through his dumb phase at the moment so it would be funny if it's something that would suggest he's highly intelligent.
