Brand new chick with severed toe and a couple seem broken? Already treated but not sure how it happened.

Our take

Meet your new little chick with a bit of a tough start—she’s sporting a severed toe and a couple of suspect fractures! After tending to her injuries, which included cleaning, applying ointment, and wrapping her foot (not to mention dyeing her feet blue to deter pecking), you're left pondering the mystery of how this happened in the first place. With no sharp objects or potential traps in the incubator, it’s a real head-scratcher. You’re not alone in feeling a bit lost; this is your first incubator hatch, after all! Trust your instincts—your chick has a fighting chance, and with your care, she might just bounce back stronger than ever. Here’s to hoping for a cluck-tastic recovery!

I've since cleaned it, dyed her feet blue, and wrapped the bad foot along with ointment. ( Feet blue so they are less inclined to peck at it, my hands are also now fully blue) Not an expert at this at all this was my first Incubator hatch, her and four others. One other has a broken toe but I'm not sure how? There was nothing sharp in the incubator and she couldn't have gotten her toe stuck so idk. I just went on gut of how to treat it I think she'll be fine but idk how she did this.
