Bert getting the mean rooster treatment.

Our take

Bert has certainly found himself on the receiving end of some mean rooster treatment after a two-week absence from work. This feisty fowl thinks he can just waltz back in and attack without consequences! But not on my watch. When Bert goes for the peck, I have a tried-and-true method: I scoop him up and carry him around until he realizes who’s really in charge. Surprisingly, this quirky technique works like a charm, and somehow, I’ve earned his respect—much to the amusement of my coworkers! While our other roosters are friendly and welcoming, it’s Bert, the biggest of the bunch, who takes on the role of the overly protective guardian. Life on the farm is never dull, that’s for sure!

I was away from work for two weeks and this guy thinks he can just attack me again now. No, buddy. You know how this goes. You attack me, I pick you up and carry you around until we're good again.

For some reason this works like a charm. I'm the only one at work who has earned his respect 😂

At least our other roosters are friendly... But of course the biggest of them all has to be the overly protective one.
