Meet Falin, the Cinnamon Queen with a pecking problem! This feisty hen just can't resist plucking the tails of her feathered friends, turning your coop into a fowl frenzy. Despite your best efforts to isolate her, this little diva is relentless—leaving your other hens in a bit of a pickle (or should we say, a peckle?). As a proud no-kill household, you're on the lookout for egg-citing solutions to restore peace in the coop.
I have a Cinnamon Queen hen who is constantly pecking and plucking the butts of my other hens. We don't have a rooster but we've tried isolating this hen and there isn't anything that will make her stop. We've had several instances of her plucking and pecking until they bleed and then all the other hens start pecking at the wounded hen. I don't know what to do, we haven't had these chickens for a year and I need suggestions. We are also a no kill household. All our hens are laying chickens. Her name is Falin and she's my favorite hen too.

- Cochin bantam henPic of problem hen in front Hi all, I’m reading that Cochin bantam hens are supposed to be a friendly, docile breed. I know my rooster certainly is towards me. However, I got 2 from a friend just yesterday and one of them definitely has an attitude problem. I was told they were very sweet, friendly, and she could easily pick them up, which is true. But this one hen has been pecking the crap out of me, in a not friendly way. I mean she is grabbing my skin and making sure it hurts, leaving a mark if I do calmly reach out to her. I have neither struck her with my hand or kicked with my foot (which I’m not planning to do at all), I simply let her peck me without a reaction because it’s not going to scare me off. I’m not scared or anxious of her, I can only assume she is scared and may feel more dominant towards me by showing her butt in a new environment. - Help! Feather eating!I have a hen that is eating the feathers on the backs of the other hens. She is not plucking the whole feather, just the top half. I have tried increasing protein and enrichment. When she was a chick she would peck the others until they bled. She was separated and it hasn’t been a problem since. Because of this I am worried her feather eating habit will turn worse. Should I separate her? - Angry roosterSo this is my darling little boy, he was born in October 2025 and has just begun to crow and call out to the chicks when he finds food. So he's pretty young. Now here's the problem, he's starting to peck me without pretty much any warning, he doesn't fluff up his neck feathers or anything. He just walks up to me sometimes and bam, I have a new bruise or wound on my hand. Now heres the thing, he was the only one of 30 chicks we hatched and he imprinted on us because we were the only things he knew as parents before the other chicks after him hatched. I really want him to stop this behaviour because if he continues to attack.. I don't know what to do with him. - Help with chicken healthWe think this Australorp chicken is getting picked on by our rooster (bantam). They are all about 3 years old. The eye on the other side of the black hen is normal. I see a little bit of dried blood on the rooster Rooster has picked on her in the past but we thought it stopped. 7 chickens to 1 rooster. Looking for options and suggestions please.
