Central/South America advice

Hello,

I am looking at taking a 7-10 day trip at the end of May. I am flying out of Boston and assume I’ll have a full day of travel on both day 1 & 10. I have solo traveled to Europe and Asia before but have always wanted to visit central and South America. I am torn between Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Colombia. Safety is a factor in my decision (obviously). I am street smart and aware but understand certain risks exist even with that awareness in place.

I want to eat great food, drink coffee, explore nature, meet women and people, and get the most out of the 10 day max time allotment. With weather, cost, safety, and cultural/gastro considerations in place…any advice?

Very minimal Spanish skills but looking to learn more
