IF Function with 3 outcome within another IF function

Trying to do some compensation analysis.

If a particular employee Year of service < 3 then looking at the 1st minimum salary (example $50,000) to determine if current salary (example $45,000) is below or above said minimum salary. If below then calculate the difference between $50,000 and 45,000 so it’s $5,000. If current salary is above the 1st minimum salary then output should be “above”

If Year of service >=3 but < 5 then looking at the 2nd minimum salary (example $60,000) to determine if current salary is below or above said minimum salary. If current salary is below the minimum salary then calculate the difference between $60,000 and currently salary $45,000 so it’s $15,000. If the current salary is above the minimum salary then state “above” (in this example it’s not above since current salary is $45,000). If the current salary is between $50,000 and $60,000 then state “within” (if the current salary is exactly $50,000 or $60,000 then the output should be “within”

Edit: maybe quartile is not the right word. Maybe minimum salary is more accurate. Year of service is the first criteria.

If years of service is greater than 5 then the current salary will be compared with a 3rd minimum salary ($70,000). If the current salary is $45,000 since it’s below the $70,000 minimal salary then the output should be $25,000 ($70,000 minus $45,000). If current salary is above $70,000 then the output should be “Above”
