This chick is… different?
Our take
Meet the quirky chick that stands out from the flock! This feathered friend has a personality all its own—often preferring solo chill time while still joining the group for the occasional clucking good time. With a unique appearance that leaves you wondering if it’s just a bit plump or if there’s something else at play, this chick keeps us guessing. Don’t worry, though! It eats and drinks like a champ and seems perfectly healthy when it’s not playing the lone wolf. Perhaps it’s simply a case of “chickening out” from the crowd? Whether it’s a quirky personality trait or just a unique look, this little one adds a dash of fun to the coop dynamics! What do you think?

| This chick seems so different from the others and I can’t pinpoint what lol it likes to keep to itself, chills by itself but does join the other chicks occasionally! I can’t tell if it’s fat or if it looks weird with its head? She eats and drinks totally fine and chills with me once I’m able to grab her.. just likes to be alone? lol [link] [comments] |

- Chick acting strangeI’ve had these 4 chicks since Easter. They’ve all been acting normally, but this one (I think is a Cream Legbar) is drinking fine, but she’s not eating, and she’s standing upright and peeping nonstop. She’s drinking by herself though. She had pasty butt for about 2 days before I cleaned it. I thought she would act normal after that, but she’s been like this for another 2 days, even after I cleaned her butt. She also doesn’t react to my hand, she huddles up against me and peeps. At first I thought it was malnutrition, so I gave her some olive oil with a pipette about 20 hours ago since it’s got a fat and calories. She still acting weird. I’m not sure what to do. submitted by /u/Lil_Torta1 [link] [comments]
- chick not wanting treatsas the title says, this chick won’t even blink at mealworms, veggies, watermelon, you name it. yesterday i took her out from the run to cuddle her on the grass. i kid you not, an earthworm arose from the dirt and started wiggling around. i placed the chick next to it and she didn’t even bother to peck at it! i even held it in the air for her. is she stupid? why won’t she forage? the other chicks her age love digging and going through leaves. they know when it’s mealworm time and they go batshit crazy when i through them snacks. she however just doesn’t care this is my favorite chick. she never imprinted on me but since she was 5 days old i have spent every day just holding her. she doesn’t follow me, she doesn’t care about the snacks i give her. clearly she isn’t normal because every other chick around her is doing it. i think she may just be too dumb. anyone else have a similar case? will she grow brain cells as she matures? submitted by /u/ChickenButtToucher [link] [comments]
