The bucket trap for mice works REALLY well.
Our take
Spring has officially sprung, and with it comes the unwelcome explosion of mice around my chicken run! As someone who loves my feathered friends, I needed a solution that wouldn’t put my chickens, pets, or kids at risk. Enter the bucket trap! Inspired by a post I stumbled upon not too long ago, I decided to give it a whirl—and let me tell you, it worked like a charm! In just one night, I caught 14 mice—talk about a cluck-tastic success! It took me only about 15 minutes to whip up using a piece of rebar and some PVC. A huge thank you to whoever shared this genius idea!
I’ve noticed a big explosion of mice around my chicken run this spring, but needed something that would be safe around chickens, pets and kids. So I made a bucket trap that I saw on here a while back and it worked like a charm. 14 mice in the first night! Can’t remember who posted it, but thank you! Took only about 15 minutes to make with just a piece of rebar and PVC.
