Second clutch of the year going in the incubator!
Our take
Cluck-tastic news, everyone! The second clutch of the year is officially making its way to the incubator, and I couldn't be more egg-cited! This batch includes six eggs from a mottled satin hen paired with a charming cuckoo silkie—one of which was just laid and added to the mix. We also have four eggs from a vorwerk hen with a chocolate Orpington rooster, plus another four from a splash Orpington to the same handsome roo. But wait, there's more! A couple of my hens have just gone broody, so I’m considering placing some of these eggs under them before they go into lockdown. Here’s hoping for a clucking good hatch! Let the fun projects begin!

| If all goes well, I'm super excited for these to hatch. There's a couple fun little projects in this group that I'm (hopefully) starting. 6 eggs out of a mottled satin hen to a cuckoo silkie (she laid another egg about 30 minutes ago that I quickly put in with the 5 you see in this pic). 4 eggs out of a vorwerk hen to a chocolate orpington roo 4 eggs out of a splash orpington to a chocolate orpington roo.
