One of our community members, /u/Evening-Two-7090, is on a quest for answers about feeding Dairy Cow isopods to their chickens. Originally intended as lizard treats, these little critters are reportedly high in calcium, which sounds egg-citing! However, thereās a bit of fowl play in the advice swirling around onlineāsome sources say only wild isopods should be given to our girls. So, whatās the scoop? | | Hello everyone Iām coming to you because I havenāt found anything online that doesnāt contradict each other. I was planning on raising lizards so I bought some Dairy Cow isopods and have been breeding them, but since I never got a lizard is it fine to feed them to my chickens as treats. Apparently theyāre high in calcium so i donāt believe that itād hurt them but Iāve seen online to only let them eat wild isopods and not ones that were raised in captivity.
