Pale combs?
Our take
Oh no, pale combs? It sounds like you’re wrangling with some cluck-tastic concerns! Your feathered friends might be giving you a bit of a scare, especially after their poopy butt escapades. It’s great that you’ve washed them up—clean chickens are happy chickens! Now, about those pale combs, they could indicate a few things, but don’t panic just yet. It’s possible that their watery poop, thanks to a feast of earthworms after all that rain, is just their way of saying, “We’re living our best chicken lives!” Keeping them in the coop/run to monitor them is a smart move. Let’s dive into what pale combs could mean and how to ensure your hens stay happy and healthy!

| Are these hens’ combs pale? I can’t tell if I am just overly worried. They had poopy butts a few days ago but have been washed and it hasn’t come back. Their poop has been watery but I’ve been told it could just be from eating a lot of earthworms (lot of rain here lately). I’ve kept them in their coop/run today to see if that would help when I noticed their combs were looking pale. [link] [comments] |

- Hens comb is turning purpleHello, my mothers chickens comb is turning purple. Apparently she hasn’t been laying eggs for weeks so we initially thought it was a stuck egg, but we soaked her in warm water and epsom salt for a good half hour and nothing came of it. Doesn’t appear she has been pooping either. Has not been eating or drinking aswell. Very lethargic the past few days and is very indifferent to many things. We’ve separated her and gave her water with electrolytes today. Does anyone know what is happening and if there are any solutions? Thank you! submitted by /u/Icy_Excuse_6527 [link] [comments]
