Just wanted to share this handsome gentleman.
Our take
Meet my charming little gentleman of a rooster! I’ve come across some pretty spine-chilling tales about aggressive roosters, and I can’t help but feel a wave of gratitude for my sweet little roo. He’s a delightful mix of Millie Fleur D'Uccle and White Cochin, and let me tell you, he’s a feathered gem! Not only is he a total sweetheart, but he’s also a dedicated gentleman who looks after his hens, helping them nest and forage without a hint of aggression. It’s a joy to watch him interact with his flock, bringing peace and harmony to our little chicken family. So, how’s your roo faring? Let’s share our chicken tales and celebrate these quirky, lovable creatures!

- Hen or RooI’m new to chickens— we got these little ones about 3 weeks ago and this one is the only one to survive his flock. The other 3 were so sick and eventually passed. We added it to our other flock of chicks after quarantining for a bit and it has adjusted so well! He is so cute, I can’t stand it submitted by /u/brookeconnors2 [link] [comments]

- Which is the roo?I know I’m coping here because I don’t want to admit it’s true…. But which of these is the roo? These are 5 week old jersey giants. Same hatch day. One is remarkably more friendly than the other. I bought one male and one female in addition to 6 girls in other breeds. My first time raising chickens. The one I now believe is likely the roo has always been the smallest and slowest to feather. I thought “she” was a runt and had slow growth from pasty butt. The male was marked with blue ink on his belly and so we always thought the friendly one was the one that was marked. We must have gotten them mixed up as they’ve grown. Anyway, now I’m concerned I’m gonna have a jackass rooster. I know this is a risk when keeping a roo in your flock, but I was hopeful with socialization, I could have at least a semi friendly rooster. I won’t keep a mean rooster. submitted by /u/SpinachSure5505 [link] [comments]
