- Is this normal? This is my first time hatching chicks, and this one has a very round butt to the point its legs are having trouble staying beneath it. Is this normal and I just missed it on the other 3? Or is something wrong? submitted by /u/Emotional-Bed-6774 [link] [comments]
- Swollen booty below cloacaJust gave my chickens their butt baths and found Lemon has a very swollen and red behind but below the cloaca. She had a lot of poop buildup but she also just has long butt feathers. Its not bald (just looks that way cause the feathers are wet) but red, protruding and squishy. She seems otherwise healthy: eating and drinking. Not sure if she's laying. Last picture is post bath. Is this just a normal juicy booty? Any idea what it could be if not? submitted by /u/hiccupampus [link] [comments]
- Is this pasty butt?!?I just got chicks yesterday, I checked when I got them and all their butts looked fine. This morning I checked again, this one chick has some poo stuck. Is that the kind that I need to remove, if so how? I think they aren’t in great shape, unfortunately their heat plate went out overnight so they were chilled this morning. Can I clean it without getting it wet? Currently off to tractor supply to get a new heat plate. Hope they will recover okay submitted by /u/Odd_Combination_6398 [link] [comments]
