Is this frizzle feathers?
Our take
Is this frizzle feathers? Welcome to the delightful world of chicken enthusiasts! Our friend Blissie_peach_farts recently welcomed a charming little chick named Pewter, who has gone from a fluffy dot to sporting some intriguing flippy feathers. Pewter's lineage includes a frizzle bantam Cochin mom and a Silkie dad, which explains the unique feather style. Interestingly, Pew’s siblings are a bit larger and don't share the same fabulous feather flair. Whether you're a seasoned chicken wrangler or just starting your feathered adventure, it’s hard not to fall in love with these quirky creatures. Join the conversation to share your thoughts on Pewter's fabulous look and celebrate the cuteness of chickens together!

| Hi everyone, thank you for the add! I got this chicken last Saturday, and it was just a dot with fluff, now there are some flippy feathers there. The young lady I got Pewter from said the mom was a frizzle bantam Cochin, the dad is a Silkie. Pew's siblings are a bit bigger and their feathers do not look this way. Either way, I think all of them are so cute and I love them! [link] [comments] |

- Frizzles with noodle like feathers? Is this a Cochin frizzle thing?? Their feathers are literally like spaghetti. I have a serama frizzle as well and she has normal feathers that just curl, but these guys have string cheese feathers that curl lol. Maybe they are a Cochin frizzle and silkie mix to make a low grade woolie?? But their skin isn’t black and they only have 4 toes. submitted by /u/luckyapples11 [link] [comments]

- I'm so happy! But ...Fulfilled my dream of owning Bantam Cochins the day before yesterday. And while they are more cute as I imagined them to be (I know their feathers aren't the best, their living conditions weren't ideal, I hope some sunny days with dust baths will fix this quickly) they are kinda... Dumb? I watched them yesterday for a while and they don't seem to have a lot of braincells in their tiny heads. For example: One tried to jump upwards on a branch, failed miserably and lied on the grounds so long I thought it broke its back, just to then waddle away like nothing happened. Another one walked straight into a corner, stood there and then panicked because it couldn't find a way out.
