I pulled my chicken out of the nest box…
Our take
In a comical twist of fate, I pulled my chicken out of her cozy nest box, only for her to promptly lay an egg on the ground. Talk about bad timing! I thought she was going broody after sitting there for hours, and with the sun heating up, I worried she’d overheat. My intention was to save her from becoming a broody hen, but as luck would have it, I might have interrupted her egg-laying moment. I felt a wave of guilt wash over me—I mean, who knew chickens could be so dramatic? I apologized profusely, hoping she would forgive me for my well-meaning but misguided intervention. Ah, the joys and surprises of chicken keeping! 🤦🏻♂️

| And she immediately laid an egg on the ground. And I immediately felt so bad for disturbing her lol I thought she was going broody. She had been sitting in the nest box for at least a few hours. It was starting to get warm so I was worrying she might overheat and I don’t want a broody hen so I pulled her out of the nest box. What are the chances that I happened to pull her out RIGHT when she was about to lay her egg. lol I felt so bad, I apologized profusely. I hope she forgives me. 🤦🏻♂️ [link] [comments] |
