Our take
Have you ever found yourself in a chicken conundrum? When tragedy strikes our feathered friends, it can leave us scrambling for solutions—especially when broody hens are involved. After a heartbreaking incident with some rambunctious pups, one chicken lover is seeking advice on the delicate art of introducing orphan chicks to broody hens. With two devoted broodies currently sitting tight, the hope is to sneak in some little ones under the cover of night for a chance at a new family reunion. Have you ever pulled off this fowl play successfully? If you have tips or stories to share, lend a wing! Let’s rally together and help these orphan chicks find their new feathered moms!
A few dogs broke into our property and killed 2 chickens that were mommies to over 15 chicks, i have 2 broody chickens at the moment i was hoping i could sneak some chicks under them at night and pray they get adopted.
Has anyone tried this? and if you have and it works i'd appreciate some advice to make it work effectively
