How to band feathered feet?
Our take
Are you ready to dive into the whimsical world of banding feathered feet? If you're looking to breed D'Uccle birds and need a way to identify them for lineage, you've come to the right place! Banding can be a bit tricky, especially when considering those delightful feathered feet. While some folks opt for colorful zip ties, it's essential to ensure they won’t damage those fabulous feathers. After all, we wouldn’t want our feathered friends feeling any discomfort! If you've been managing a small flock and recognize every charming face, this new endeavor may seem a bit daunting. But fear not!

| Wondering how to band chickens with feathered feet? wanted to get into breeding DUccle birds, but need to be able to identify them for lineage reasons. I've seen people use colored zip ties for banding, but does that damage the feet feathers or is there a specific way to do it? my flock has always been small enough that I recognize every face and haven't needed bands. I don't have good feet pics. please appreciate my darling Peaches being very confused about her egg suddenly becoming a baby (she stopped being broody after meeting children lol) [link] [comments] |
