First egg!
Our take
Today marks a cluck-tastic milestone in my chicken-keeping journey—my girls (well, one of them) laid their very first egg! These Rhode Island Reds are between 19 and 21 weeks old, and I couldn't be prouder of my feathered friend who decided to kick off egg production. 🥹 To celebrate this egg-citing moment, I'm holding off on cracking it open until tomorrow, hoping for a second egg to join the breakfast party. Just imagine—fresh eggs from my backyard flock, ready to transform breakfast into a delightful feast! Whether you're a seasoned chicken enthusiast or just dipping your toes into the world of poultry, there's something magical about that first egg. Join me in this joyous occasion and let’s see what tomorrow brings!
