Everyone w failing chicks
Our take
If you’ve ever found yourself with a weak chick that seems to be struggling, don’t panic just yet! Before things take a turn for the worse, here’s a cluck-tastic tip to try. Grab two shallow jar lids—one for a mixture of half water and raw apple cider vinegar with “the mother” (like Bragg’s) and the other for a broken raw egg yolk. Gently dip the tip of the chick’s beak into the vinegar mixture—just a tiny bit, avoiding the nostrils. This little dip can trigger their eating reflex and may work wonders! And guess what? This method is also effective for adult birds! Just remember to check for pasty butt in chicks.
before it goes too far, if you notice a weak chick....
get two shallow jar lids.
fill one half w water, add RAW apple cider vinegar w "the mother" like Braggs to the lid.
put a broken RAW egg yolk in the other lid,
dip the lid onto the very tip of the chick's beak, careful of the nostrils. just the tip.
the dip triggers the eating reflex
works for weak adult birds too.
ACV has brought birds back for me I thought were doomed. Egg yolk is great too.
w chicks, make sure you check for pasty butt too.
