Is this normal?

Our take

Hatching chicks is an egg-citing adventure, but it can come with a few head-scratching moments! If you’re noticing that one of your newly hatched chicks has a rather round rear end and seems to be struggling to keep its legs beneath it, you’re not alone in your concern. Many first-time hatchers experience similar worries, especially when trying to gauge what’s “normal” in the world of fluffy, feathered friends. While some chicks might just be a bit more rotund than others—after all, they’re growing rapidly—there could also be other factors at play. Let’s dive into this cluck-tastic conundrum together and see if your little one is just a quirky character or if it needs a bit of extra care!

Is this normal?

This is my first time hatching chicks, and this one has a very round butt to the point its legs are having trouble staying beneath it. Is this normal and I just missed it on the other 3? Or is something wrong?
