Garden fence that looks pretty but keeps chickens out?;
Our take
Hey, fellow chicken wranglers and garden enthusiasts! If you’ve ever found yourself in a battle of wills with your feathered friends, you know the struggle all too well. My flock of hens and a couple of turkeys have taken it upon themselves to explore my garden beds, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake. I’ve tried temporary fences made of chicken wire and sticks, but they just don’t cut it in the looks department. I'm on the hunt for a fence that not only keeps my garden intact but also adds a touch of charm to my yard. Any suggestions for pretty fence options? Also, what height do you think is necessary to keep these crafty critters at bay?

| Hey all, I have a flock of hens and a few turkey. I love to let them out in the afternoon to do their thing. But they absolutely love to rip up my garden beds beside the house (I know, a tale as old as time). I made these temporary fences with chicken wire and mainly sticks. Does anyone have recommendations for a fence that's pretty ? Lol Also, how high do you think it should be? I'm thinking of halving this chicken wire fence, and maybe painting it black so it's less obvious? [link] [comments] |
