Is this normal poop?

Our take

Uh-oh, it sounds like you've got a little chick in distress! At just three days old, it's concerning to see your feathered friend feeling lethargic and not eating or drinking, especially after being fine just yesterday. It’s great that you’re already syringing electrolyte water and egg yolk, as hydration and nutrition are key during this critical time. Since the brooder setup appears to be well-regulated—100°F on the hot side and 80°F on the cold side—temperature shouldn’t be the issue. With nine other chicks around, it’s important to monitor their interactions, as sometimes a little fowl play can lead to stress. Let’s dive into the signs and symptoms to figure out if this is normal poop or if your chick needs a little extra TLC.

Very lethargic/sick chick. Was fine yesterday. Only 3 days old. Can’t stay awake at all and not eating/drinking. Been syringing electrolyte water and egg yolk but hard to tell if there are any changes.

In a brooder with 9 other chicks. Hot side is 100 and cold side is 80. They have access to clean water and chick starter.
