Are my eggs ok??
Our take
Are my eggs okay? This question echoes the worries of many chicken (or duck) enthusiasts, especially when you're watching over a classroom of eager second graders. As you navigate the world of incubating eggs with your Brinsea incubator—without the luxury of humidity readings—anxiety can start to creep in. You’re noticing that your eggs look quite different from your coworkers’ visible progress, and the internet's myriad of horror stories about the "ring of death" isn't helping. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed at the thought of disappointing your students. Let’s explore the possibilities: could your eggs simply be lagging behind, or is there something more concerning at play? Don’t fret—let’s find some cluck-tastic reassurances and solutions together!

| At our school, all of the second grade classes are hatching ducks. Everyone has a different incubator from me. I have Brinsea - it doesn’t let me see the humidity level which is really worrisome. I’ve done everything right, but all of my eggs look like the first picture. All of my coworkers’s eggs are like the second picture. Are mine all dead? Or are they just somehow lagging behind? The internet is scaring and making me think they all have the ring of death. I will literally cry if that’s the case. The kids will be so upset and confused. [link] [comments] |

- Hatching chicks first timeHello! I irresponsibly allowed my broody hen to just sit on some eggs without really checking on them the whole time. We are now at the point where they should be hatching… Two of the 4 are characteristically entirely opaque with the air pocket on one side. The other two are basically not at all but do show a dark shaded area… Are you guys of the opinion that they are not developing or is there some possibility that they are? Not seeing veins… I apologize for poor photos and my first time candling submitted by /u/CoverFig4662 [link] [comments]
- Look what hatched last nightOut of 12 eggs these are all the babies I've got, originally 11 hatched but unfortunately a little yellow chick just did not make it, I am slightly worried about the other solid yellow chick but it just seems a little bit off the other one was having a very hard time breathing, and the one egg that did not hatch looks like it stopped developing around day 10, although I feel like this was a very good hat besides those two, and I do have nine more eggs on lockdown hopefully they hatch but those are some eggs that I purchased submitted by /u/LifeguardComplex3134 [link] [comments]
