Ameraucauna Silkie
Our take
Get ready to meet the feathered sensations of my backyard: the Ameraucauna Silkies! Hatched on January 24, 2026, these adorable fluffballs—named Monster Truck, Spaghetti, and Lo'ak—are growing up faster than I can say “cluck-tastic!” While they still have some filling out to do, I can't help but feel an overwhelming excitement for their future. Honestly, I might be the only one totally smitten with this quirky mix, but I truly believe the world needs more of these delightful characters. With their unique personalities and charming looks, they’re sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. Join me in celebrating the wonder of these little ones and the joy they bring to our lives!

- Our new babies. Breeding project.Out of the 5 of our eggs we incubated, these are the three chicks. One never internally pipped and the other never externally pipped. I had to assist hatch one of these. Unfortunately didn’t catch the 4th in time. BUT! I present our 2 Game Brahma chicks and 1 Gameraucana! For those new here the mothers are a Dark Brahma and a Silver Ameraucana. The father is a green legged gamefowl and BOY are his genes strong because all 3 of these babies look pretty much the same! Only difference is the Game Brahma chicks have feathered legs and the Gameraucana doesn’t. Very cool! Can’t wait to see how they develop and look as they age! The Gameraucana is the one with the little leg band. submitted by /u/Safe_Letterhead543 [link] [comments]
- I’m currently working on a new breed(1st pic) I had a pure bred black and white polish and a silkie and this little fella came out. Really good feather structure and a coop, but most important his skull is normal. It takes a couple of generations to get what I’m looking for but this is a great start. (2’d pic) is a silkie x creamlegbar mix which doesn’t have the best colour pattern but her tail and wing feathers are transparent which I haven’t seen before. Lets hope it ain’t recessive and dissapears in later generations. Although the colour pattern is off, it still looks beautiful The others are Brahmas which I want to use to create a larger size polish breed submitted by /u/sparrio [link] [comments]
