Adopting new chicks can be an egg-citing adventure, and this proud hen has proven just how smooth the transition can be! After receiving five juvenile chicks from a school project, I was thrilled to see one particularly broody hen immediately bond with them. While integrating chicks into an existing flock often sparks questions about timing and personalities, this experience shows that it can work beautifully.
